mosquito larvae

Mosquito larvae are immature stages of mosquitoes, which develop in water. Latte (or "mosquito larvae") are early developmental stages of mosquitoes, which feed mainly on aquatic microorganisms. Mosquito laths have a cylindrical, elongated body, with a distinct head that bears a pair of antennae, mandibles, and palps. Slats breathe using siphons that allow them to breathe on the surface of the water. They move by undulating their bodies and can propel themselves rapidly using their swimming bristles.

Mosquito larvae can be controlled using different biological agents, such as nematodes. Nematodes are tiny worms, which are widely used in biological control against mosquito larvae.
